I'm doing a 1950's retro photoshoot with some female models. Any ideas on what they should wear?
I'll be doing a 50's themed photoshoot in July. It will be in South Bend, IN. Two young women will be in the photos and I need some help with what to have them wear, or what props, accessories to use. They are in their 20's & I would like the theme to be retro pinup/teenyboppers. We also plan to have old cars there for the shoot. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated- especially if anyone has experience with this type of photoshoot in the past. Thx!!-James

Does the gothic style and culture has to do anything with Satanism and Illuminati?
That big black cross without Jesus on it doesn't tell anything about Anti Christianity?Or any thing involved about this?And what about the dark angels of the gothic art?

(Please note the the historical mentionings inthis answer may or may not be absolutely true, as tey are recounted soely from momeory, past radings and many many hours watching the history channel. Also, everything about goth depends on the goth. What is true for me, may not be true for another. Thank you)
Okay, the color of a cross means nothing. Just because Jesus is not on the cross is irrelvent. There are many gold and silver corss where Jesus are not on them. Would those be considered satanic? I think not. Goth is not now, nor has even been evil. Goth is a cub-culture, a form of expression that the person who has decided to become Goth could never fully explain.
People of the Gothic subculture, such as myself, can be any religion of their choosing. You can be Wiccan, Pagan, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic, Satanic, or any religion both known and unknown to man and still be Goth. Goth is not defined by religion.
Rather Goth is defined by three things in general. Mindset, Style, and Music.
Goth is a darker way of thinking. Not evil , but dark, as in mysterious. We do not see things as other want us to, but make up our mind based on truth and fact. We are non judgmental and kind. We rarely ever show violence, and are actually some of he most intelligent people you could meet. We think for yourselves, and embrace the dark aspects of our character as well as the good. After all, you are only half of yourself if you only ever accept the good qualities you possess. We tend to understand that and explore our darkness to seek understanding and better ourselves.
We dress to match our inner perceptions, whatever inner prospection we might have. We internalize everything emotionally, so all that emotion comes out in the from of style and even body modification such as tattoos and piercings. You need not dress Goth to be Goth. Many of our jewelry happens to be Christian religious, though it also has its share of pagan jewelry. There is actually, I think, a jeweler brand is named Illuminati or Alchemy. Even the inverted penagram which some where (both pagan and goth alike and no these are not th same thing. If wondering why, please see above) can make agoat face was never considered satanic until LaFey, as far as i can remember. The goat that it symbolized was Pan, a pagan diety.
Music is the same. You need not listen to Goth music to be Goth, however i would please suggest the cure or Bauhaus listening before rejecting music out right. For me i love Nightwish, Inkubus Sukkubus (a pagan/ gothic bad), Type O Negative, and Theatre of Tragedy. Music is expression and if there is one thing we like is expression, no matter what that expression may be.
Now, Gothic architecture has little to nothing (i doubt anything at all) to do with the subculture. You see the Gothic buildings...most of them were established in a time when the world was going through hardships like nothing that world had ever seen before. The Black Death first and foremost. People starving, dying, hatred everywhere, no help forthcoming. These were so entitled "The Dark Ages". When these amazing buildings were erected they portrayed the horrors of what everyone felt, and were thereby called Gothic.
Back in their time is was a slang and vulgar term used to describe something dark and strange. This term was derived from the barbarian Germanic tribe who sacked Rome and did what they had to do in order to live. they were seen as barbaric, lower than the lowest person, evil, vile, dark, etc... So when anything came along that seemed barbaric or dark, it was often called "Gothic", as a derogatory form of disrespect.
The reason gargoyles were used in many building were that they were suppose to scare away evil spirits.
Dark angels are not suppose to be bad or satanic. i think it is the beauty of the despairing, but beautiful angel that draws us in. It reflects how we feel. As for m i am overly fond of black roses. Roses are exquisite, so to me a black rose symbolized beautiful sorrow. What i feel, another may not feel however. What i think another Goth may not. It is all a matter of perspective.
As for Goth being connected to the Illuminati, i have never heard this before. It is not true. The barbarian tribe would have had no interest in helping a religion they did not believe in, and the Goth’s who follow the subculture had no hand it the building. Just because the buildings are considered Gothic does not man they have any connect to use rather than a name, and loosely based meaning.
It is akin to Vlad the Impaler and Count Dracula. Same name, different people. The Dracula from the book has barely anything to do with the man whom is considered a hero to his country, despite how evil he was.

What swim suit would be best for my body type?
I have broad shoulders, small bust, not a flat stomach but not a bulge stomach, big hips, big butt, big (muscularrr) thighs.
What kind of swim suit would be best for my body?
Some of my main bathing suit issues --------
Fits in the waist but my butt hangs out a little & the crotch area has the coverage that g-string underwear would have.
Fits in the butt and waist, but bulges my thighs out at the top.
since you feel (i wont say have because i dont know you) that you have a rather dispropotionat body, ide say a 2 peice.
tankinis are best is you have a small bust
try getting the swim short style cut for bottems
